The origins of the Pathinettam Kandam Ayurveda family trace back to the historic Battle of Peringode. During this decisive conflict, General Kari fought with exceptional courage to defend the land stretching from Vapedatha Padam to Pathinettam Kandam. Despite heavy casualties, his determination led to a remarkable victory.

In recognition of his bravery and loyalty, the king honored him with a grand mansion built on seven and a half acres of land near Pathinettam Kandam.

This royal recognition marked the beginning of a proud lineage—one that would grow into the renowned Pathinettam Kandam Ayurveda family, preserving and practicing the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda across generations.
